June 2016: Our invited review for the Annalen der Physik entitled "Review of the theoretical description of time-resolved angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy in electron-phonon mediated superconductors" was published!

June 2016: Our collaborative paper with the group of G. Blumberg at Rutgers entitled "Surface vibrational modes of the topological insulator Bi2Se3 observed by Raman spectroscopy" has been published in Phys. Rev. B!

January 2016: Lex gave an invited talk at the workshop on Time-resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy from tabletop UV and HHG laser sources, Synchrotrons and FELs: experiments and challenges in Trieste, Italy.

January 2016: Avinash and Omadillo presented talks at the Future Of Materials workshop at NC State.  Their presentations were: "Coherent Acoustic Phonon dynamics in bulk Gallium Phosphide and Silicon" and "Quasiparticle Dynamics Out of Equilibrium," respectively.

April 2016: Shannon has won second place in the McCormick Symposium celebrating the achievements by physics undergraduate students with her poster entitled Misbehaving Materials: An ongoing computational investigation of rare-earth tritellurides (RTe3, R = La-Lu) and charge density waves.

March 2016: Our collaborative paper with G. Coslovich and R. Kaindl from SLAC/LBNL on Ultrafast dynamics of vibrational symmetry breaking in striped nickelates has appeared on the arXiv. It has been submitted to Science Advances.
